Note Regarding Minimum Age Limitations
As a Club, Fairlands Valley Spartans has consulted with UKA who have advised us that, notwithstanding the age limitations and maximum distances set out in Rule 207 (2), the intention of Rule 207 (3) is to prevent young runners of either sex who are under the age of 17 from running in the same races as Juniors, Seniors and Vets/Masters. We have therefore decided to adopt a universal policy of applying a minimum age of 17 for all our races (higher where the age limits set out in Rule 207 (2) dictate) and this decision has been explicitly endorsed by UKA. We apologise for any disappointment caused to younger runners but, as a Club, we must abide by the rules of the sport's governing body.
