2010 Challenge Instructions

Under uk:athletics rules, ARC Permit - ARC 10/39

You must pin your number to the front of your vest or outer garment or place it with your course instructions in a plastic wallet. You must not allow anybody else to run with your number. Please write details of any existing medical conditions on the reverse side.

Time limit: All entrants must finish by 19:00

Race limit: 500 Entrants

The objective is to complete a circular distance of 12, 18 or 26.2 miles on foot, using footpaths, tracks, bridleways and some minor roads. Registration will be open from 07:30, please register at least half an hour before your start. A checkcard and route description will be issued at registration.

Race Headquarters are in the main hall in Marriotts School Gym . There are changing and showers available and baggage can be left at the Race HQ. Storage will be at the owner's risk.

There is ample parking at this new venue.

The race fee includes refreshments before the race and at all checkpoints, plus our famous post race barbecue.

Entry Fees

£11 Affiliated (UKA / LDWA / TRA) or £13.00 Unaffiliated. £2 extra for on the day entries.

Restrictions

For runners, UKA age rules apply. Minimum age 17 for 12 & 18 miles and 18 for 26.2 miles. For walkers, those under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.

Retirements

Transport will be arranged back to the venue if you retire at any of the checkpoints.

Results

Results will be posted on the race web site http://www.races.fvspartans.org.uk on the evening of the challenge or alternatively can be posted to you by paying £1 on the day of the race.
